TO: JOINT OPERATIONS COMMAND (JOC) FROM: N.A.M. INTELLIGENCE SUBJECT: NOTICE OF RECALL FOR ALL SPECIAL OPERATIONS PERSONNEL ASSIGNED TO OPERATIONS IN MOSSLAND. DATE: 29-AUG-04 On 23-JUL-04 0331hrs, a C-130 Hercules out of Moffett Air Force Base was scheduled to transport supplies to Camp Elkhorn, the USMC base camp in Mossland. While en route to the base, the C-130 was hit by anti-aircraft fire. The damage sustained was enough to recall the bird back to Moffett for repairs. However, understanding the Marines' situation and need of the supplies, the pilot opted to drop them over the Mossland Swamp before returning. Using the C-130's flight log and Satellite Digital Imaging, we have identified the general locations of all seven supply cases and will supply you with the approximate locations. It has been confirmed that the Peoples Republic Of Mossland (P.R.O.M.) forces are operating in the area. It is likely they are also aware of the drop and have patrols in the area to locate the supplies. Given the vastness and density of the landscape it is unlikely P.R.O.M. has located any of the supply cases. You are authorized to deploy all necessary forces to locate and secure these supplies which will be picked up and transported via Black Hawk to Camp Elkhorn. OPERATION: MISFIRE PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: 1. Insert by teams of 6 via Black Hawk at LZ X-Ray. 2. Locate and secure all seven cases. 3. Transport cases to LZ X-Ray for extraction. 3. Secure all seven cases at LZ X-Ray. Radio Camp ELkhorn for supply pick-up. 4. Safely evac by teams of 6 once Black Hawks return from supply transport. SECONDARY OBJECTIVE: 1. Neutralize as many P.R.O.M. forces as possible before extraction. If these supplies fall into hostile hands, P.R.O.M. will not only use them against U.S. Forces operating in the area, but against the indigenous tribes living there as well. We cannot allow this to happen.
